Adam Łajczak, geomorphologist, hydrologist, current employment: Institute of Geography, Pedagogical University in Cracow (head of Department of Geoinformation and Geoenvironment Research). Recently he has been focusing on the research on geoecology of mountains and their forelands, rivers valleys and marshy areas. He is a member of Association of Polish Geomorphologists, International Association of Geomorphologists, International Association of Hydrological Sciences (Commissions: Continental Erosion and Water Resources), European Geophysical Union. He started his research in the frames of the project IAG – Antropocen Geomorphology. In his research much attention is paid to geomorphology, hydrology and palaeogeography of peatbogs, especially to anthropogenic degradation of peatbogs and decrease of their water retention. Simultaneously he is engaged in the research on causes, course and results of floods in the valleys of the Carpathians and their northern foreland and on hydrological consequences of progressive decrease of capacity of dam reservoirs due to their siltation.

José Luis Colocho Ortega of Salvadoran nationality, Agronomist of the National School of Agriculture "RQ" of El Salvador, with a Master's Degree in Plant Physiology from the Federal University of Lavras, MG, Brazil and Ph.D. In relation soil-plant, by the Federal University of Vicosa, MG, Brazil. Researcher and independent agricultural consultant. Experience in soil management and vegetable production in Central America and other countries. Member of the Sociedade Brasileira de la Ciencia do Solo, of the IUSS and President and founder of the Salvadoran Association of Soil Science. Development of research work in coffee, bioenergy crops and others, organic sources such as fertilizers and technology transfer of soil fertility and plant nutrition. Dr. Zhang earned his B.S. degree from Nanjing Agricultural University, China, M.S. degree from Iowa State University, and Ph.D. degree from the University of Minnesota. He served as the soil chemist for the Navajo Agricultural Products Industry in Farmington, New Mexico for 6 years before joining OSU in 1996. Dr. Zhang’s extension and research programs focus on agricultural testing, plant nutrient management and environmental quality protection. He has been actively promoting soil testing as a best management practice for fertilizer and animal waste utilization, and developing decision support tools for farmers and crop consultants.

He uses both programmed and AI methods to predict pollutants emissions from biomass co-combustion in large-scale circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boilers, chemical looping combustion (CLC) of biomass in a pilot-scale fluidized bed (FB) systems as well as the hydrogen concentration in syngas during the H2 production via CaO sorption enhanced anaerobic gasification of sawdust in FB units.

He is the former president and secretary of the scientific committee to promote the professors and associate professors in Soil Science and Agriculture Engineering, He also is a Member of Scientific Committee for National Atomic Authority staff members' promotions in Agricultural Science. He is Authorized external previewer of National Authority for Education Quality and Accreditation of Egypt for pre-university and high education. Prof. Soaud areas of expertise include soil fertility and plant nutrition, soil and water pollution and remediation, nutrients management in organic farming and precision agriculture. Dr. Soaud has authored and coauthored numerous cited journal publications, conference articles, book chapters and project reports in the aforementioned topics, and has received several awards and grants from various funding agencies including the European Union, Egyptian ministry for high education, Japan Cooperation Center, Petroleum (JCCP), United Arab Emirates University, Cairo University and the 20th World Congress of Soil Science, 2014. Jose Villarreal is a chemist from Federal University of Santa Maria, Brasil; has a M.SC. in soil science at Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, a Ph.D. at University of Lleida in Spain. has his expertise in soil chemist, soil fertility, soil pollution and works with isotopic technics for measuring the use nitrogen efficciency. Now is working in absorption curves of nutrients in cocoa, use of biofertilizers in rice and soil and sediments pollution with heavy metals. Is President of Panamanian Society of Soil Science and Allied. Focal point of Panama in Global Soil Partnership from FAO.

Ernesto Lopez-Baeza received his Ph.D. degree in Physics from the University of Valencia, Spain, in 1986. He is an Associate Professor of Applied Physics with the University of Valencia since 1987, and Director of the Climatology from Satellites Group since the year 2000. He is in charge of the Valencia Anchor Station surface validation site in Spain. His research interests included the ground validation activities in the framework of the Earth Observation missions EUMETSAT Geostationary Earth Radiation Budget (GERB), NASA Clouds and the Earth’s Radiant Energy System (CERES), and ESA/EUMETSAT EPS/MetOp. He is currently involved in similar scientific activities of the Earth Observation missions: Soil Moisture Active and Passive (SMAP) from NASA, Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity (SMOS) from ESA, Ocean and Land Colour Instrument (OLCI) onboard Copernicus Sentinel-3 satellite, and preparing for ESA/JAXA Earth Clouds, Aerosols and Radiation Explorer (EarthCARE).

Ernesto is an Associate Professor of Applied Physics at the University of Valencia, Spain since 1987. He is the Head of the Climatology from Satellites Group where his main research interests refer to the validation of low-resolution remote sensing data products (radiation, soil moisture). He is in charge of two ground validation facilities, namely the Valencia and the Alacant Anchor Stations in Spain. He is currently involved in scientific activities of the Geostationary Earth Radiation Budget mission, the Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity mission, the joint EUMETSAT-ESA EPS-MetOp mission and the Earth Clouds, Aerosols and Radiation Explorer mission. He is also Chair of the COSPAR Sub-Commission A3 on Land Processes and Morphology -within the Scientific Commission A on Space Studies of the Earth's Surface, Meteorology, and Climate. In this context he was the main organizer of the COSPAR Training and Capacity Building Course on Earth Observation Understanding of the Water Cycle and is now contributing to the organization of the COSPAR Training and Capacity Building Course on Remote Sensing of the Global Water Circulation to Climate Change, Beijing, China, September 2012.

Bill X. Hu has been a professor and dean at Institute of Groundwater and Earth Sciences, Jinan University, China since 2015. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in 1996 from Purdue University, USA, and then worked at Desert Research Institute and Florida State University as assistant professor, associate professor and professor until he accepted his current job. In his long education and work experience, his research mainly focus on modeling groundwater flow and solute transport in complex subsurface environments using numerical and stochastic approaches. In the last 15 years, his group has conducted various field measurement, field and laboratory experiments and developed several numerical method to explore flow and transport in karst media. He has published more than 180 peer-reviewed papers, currently serves as a topic editor or associate editor for HESS, SERRA and China Science-Earth Science.
